What can Foodtrack do?

A calm app to see what you eat, with as little manual work as possible. Below is what happens in each part, with example screens.

Foodtrack is in development. Features may still change and not everything is in every version yet. The screens are examples with made-up data.

1. Add: photo, text, link or barcode

  • Photo of your plate. Foodtrack recognises the dish and estimates ingredients and amounts.
  • Text. Type what you ate, for example "two slices of bread with cheese and an apple".
  • Recipe link or recipe photo. Share a recipe from another app or website, or take a photo of a recipe.
  • Barcode. Scan a product or share a supermarket product link.

Every result is an estimate that you check before it is saved.

Example: check what Foodtrack recognised

2. Diary and goals

  • Your day at a glance: calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat, with what you have left.
  • Weekly overview of the past seven days.
  • Goals with advice. The advice for calories and macros follows from calculation rules based on your profile and current intake. You can accept it or enter your own.
  • Track weight and body-fat percentage, with a chart.
  • Training day or rest day? Your goal and meals can differ per day type.
Example: your day at a glance

3. Library and scheduling

  • Save dishes in folders and find them again.
  • Same again? Log a meal you ate before with one tap and adjust the amounts.
  • Schedule ahead. Same breakfast every morning, or the same lunch for a week? Schedule it and confirm, or let it log automatically.
  • Meal prep. Enter a whole batch and the number of portions. Foodtrack shows the amount per portion for each ingredient, and you log your own portion.
Example: save dishes and reuse them

4. Coach, if you want one

  • Two-way link. Your coach sends an invitation code and you add the coach.
  • You decide what your coach sees and can withdraw that at any time.
  • Messages between you and your coach, including about a specific meal, day or week.
  • Plans. A coach can propose a meal plan. You accept or decline it, adjust amounts and swap dishes for alternatives from your coach.
  • Training days are agreed together: you can both propose a weekly schedule.
Example: a plan from your coach, you decide

Works without signal

No connection? You can still log. Anything that still needs calculating or syncing happens as soon as you are back online. A photo analysis waits until then.

Apple Health (optional)

Pull burned calories from Apple Health. Without a link, the estimated usage in the app stays leading. You choose whether your coach sees it.

Android

Foodtrack starts on iPhone. An Android version is planned.

An estimate, not medical advice. Foodtrack gives estimates and calculation rules. Consult a doctor or dietitian for a medical condition, pregnancy or an eating disorder. Foodtrack is intended for people aged 18 and over.
